As per 2002 Charlotte is active in employment law and employee participation. With effect of January 1, 2017 she is a partner at Sec Employment Lawyers. Before this transition, she worked at a boutique firm specialized in employment law and she worked for eight years at a reputable law firm in Amsterdam. In her career, Charlotte has specialized in all aspects of employment law. Within this area of law she has both much litigated as advised.

For example, she includes extensive experience in the area of collective and individual dismissals, reorganizations, works councils issues, international employment law, transfer of undertakings and disputes concerning competition and non-solicitation clauses. Charlotte stands for giving clear and practical advice and attaches great importance to a personal approach.

Charlotte has completed the Grotius Academy Employment successfully.

Charlotte is a member of the Employment Law Association (“VvA”).

Michiel has been partner at a boutique employment law firm as from 2009. With effect of January 1, 2017, he and Charlotte Buijsman established Sec Employment Lawyers.

Michiel advises and litigates in all areas of employment law. He has extensive experience in assisting organizations and works councils in the advisory process regarding mergers, reorganizations and acquisitions. Furthermore, Michiel regularly represents expats in dismissal procedures and is thus well aware of the complexity of international employment law. As an employment lawyer Michiel enjoys offering practical solutions for complex issues.

Michiel is specialized in (collective) dismissal and employee participation law and is a member of the Dutch Employment Lawyers Association (“VAAN”) and the Employment Lawyers Association Amsterdam (“VAAA”).
